Sparkle Clean Tech, a leading global provider of process technologies and sustainable energy solutions for upstream oil and gas clients, has announced a strategic licensing agreement with Siemens Energy. The deal grants Sparkle Clean Tech access to a comprehensive portfolio of intellectual property (IP) from Siemens Energy’s water treatment technologies, specifically designed for the oil and gas sector.
The licensed technologies include a range of advanced solutions for oily water treatment, including Corrugated Plates Hydrocyclones, Flotation Units, Walnut Shell Filters, and regenerative membrane-based treatment systems. These technologies address critical water and wastewater challenges faced by the oil and gas industry, providing environmentally sustainable and efficient solutions.
Sparkle Clean Tech will incorporate Siemens Energy’s Monosep™ Nutshell Filtration, Perfomedia™ Adsorption Technology, Veirsep™ and Sppinsep™ Flotation with Brise DGF Pumps or Eductors, FoldedFlo™ DAF, Liquid/Liquid Hydrocyclones with TL1.05™ Liners, and Corrugated Plate Separators into its service offerings. The IP associated with these technologies, including patents, copyrights, and trade secrets, will be part of the agreement.
The integration of these cutting-edge technologies is set to expand Sparkle Clean Tech’s portfolio of integrated solutions for treating wastewater produced in oil and gas exploration and production facilities. This move comes as the company continues to prioritize sustainability and operational efficiency for its clients.
Mike Foster, Director at Sparkle Clean Tech, emphasized the importance of water and wastewater management for oil and gas customers. “Our clients are increasingly focused on improving efficiency, ensuring sustainability, and adhering to environmental standards. This new licensing agreement enhances our technology offerings and provides sustainable solutions that directly address these needs,” Foster said.
Sumeet Mehra, CEO of Sparkle Clean Tech, also commented on the agreement. “We are excited to add Siemens Energy’s water and wastewater treatment technologies to our portfolio. This partnership reinforces our commitment to offering comprehensive, sustainable solutions for the oil and gas sector. By strengthening our position in integrated water management, we aim to help our customers achieve their efficiency and waste management goals, while also contributing to environmental preservation.”
The licensed technologies, which focus on treating wastewater from oil and gas production wells, offer significant advancements in waste management. The Brise and Perfomedia processes are designed to efficiently remove pollutants from produced wastewater, marking a key step forward in oil and gas wastewater treatment solutions.
Sparkle Clean Tech’s commitment to innovation and sustainability within the oil and gas industry is further underscored by this agreement. By leveraging Siemens Energy’s state-of-the-art water treatment technologies, the company aims to provide its clients with comprehensive solutions that not only meet waste management and efficiency goals but also align with global environmental preservation efforts.
